- The G-20 Summit took place this week. The 20 countries agreed to give $1 trillion to stimulate the economy. For your information, the countries that are part of the G-20 are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and also the European Union. Interesting to note is that there are 18 not 20 individual countries. The final two are the European Union and a reps from the world-wide financial institutions.
- The NATO summit was also held this week. The new leader of this military alliance is Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen. I guess Peter McKay is staying Defense Minister. Too bad. - This week I added two new authors to my blog, Cameron and Byron. I hope you enjoy reading their posts.
